Giovanna holds a BS in Biology from the Inter American University of PR, and a MFA in Medical Illustration and Graphic Design from RIT in Rochester, NY. She has experience in the medical field, graphic arts and design, crafts, decorative painting, organizing, dance and tutoring. Giovanna is currently a Board Certified Medical Illustrator and Graphic Artist and Designer. She lives in NYC running both The Gianella Collection and GSCMI, her Medical Illustration and Design business.

The Gianella Collection was created inspired by everything feminine, delicate, beautiful and affordable.
Giovanna and Ornella Santoni are sisters, both born in San Juan, PR from Italian and Spanish descent. From a very young age, Giovanna has been drawing, painting, beading and creating decorative pieces for around the house. Ornella, expressed her creative talents during her early teenage years by dusting off the family’s old sewing machine and creating handmade outfits for her barbie dolls, and soon after she began making pillows, and altering and making her own stylish clothes.
Together, these talented artists have created even more incredible work, combining their techniques and expertise. These ladies are smart, creative and know style!

Ornella holds a BS in Biology from RIT in Rochester, NY and currently works at U of R Medical Center in Biomedical Genetics and cancer research. She has an innate talent for creating beautiful clothes and home decor, as well as experience in fashion modeling, belly dancing, baking and writing.
